Installing your Hardwood, or Laminate floor is quick and easy.  Only a limited amount of skill in woodwork and a basic set of tools are required. General fitting instructions are given below.  Detailed instructions are supplied with every pack of flooring.

Basic Tools
Fine-toothed saw (or electric jig-saw/circular saw) w Hammer w Straight edge w Tape measure w Pencil
Helpful Aids
Spacers w Tapping block w Pull iron (these items are in our installation kit)

Lay the first two rows of boards grooved edges to the wall, with spacers between the first row of boards and the wall as well as at both ends of each row.
To complete the first row, measure the length of the last board (allow for the spacer) and saw to size.
Tap boards together lightly using a tapping block making sure you do not damage the tongue of the board.
Press the last board into place with the pull iron remembering to put a spacer between the board and the wall.

Start with a clean level floor and lay underlay at right angles to the direction the floor is to be laid.

Apply glue to the grooves on the long and short sides of the boards. Do not apply too much glue, a thin bead is sufficient.
The cutting of the last board may be helped by using another board as a scribe and cutting guide. Remember to leave an 8mm gap from the wall.
Allow twelve hours for the glue to set.  Remove all spacers to leave the expansion space free. The skirting board or beading can now be fitted to cover the expansion gap.
